First Sunday in Advent

A senior angel speaks:

We hear the music and the Voice like the sound of many waters every day of our lives, but to them–well, there is much darkness and much noise and much distraction upon the earth. Only a few who are quiet and wise hear the Voice.

From “The Angel’s Point of View” by J.B. Phillips

It’s time to be quiet, even in the rush of Christmas preparations, and perhaps, because of all that comes with the “season of joy.” Take time to be still. Even if only for a few moments each morning or before going to sleep at night.

Listen for the music of the Voice.

Love the quote. Thanks Janet. Difficult to be quiet… with all the surrounding consumerism.

Can u please add me to yr daily reflection list. Much appreciated.

Hi Phil. Thanks so much for responding. You are already on the “list” as I’ll be posting them here on the church blog. If you received the first one, you’ll receive the rest. Doing a daily post is good for me too – a discipline that pushes me to be what I write.
